Plastic surgery outpatient clinic for wounds

For the treatment of difficult and chronic wounds

The plastic surgery outpatient clinic for wounds diagnoses and treats chronic ulcers.

It specialises in the treatment of chronic ulcers, particularly bedsores, vasculitic ulcers, and arterial and venous ulcers.

The Plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic Surgery Unit also offers the possibility to use negative-pressure treatment and medication (vac therapy), as well as the newest technologies in the field of regenerative medicine.

Depending on the severity of the disease, patients are directed towards surgical debridement and potential reconstruction, which is mainly provided in agreement with the Italian National Health Service, with priority indices based on the level of urgency established by the specialist. The procedures can be provided on an outpatient basis, and also day-hospital, and ordinary hospitalisation. It is also possible to make use of insurance policies or private treatment.

The clinic’s activity is coordinated by dr. Giovanni Marangi with the collaboration of dr. Francesco Segreto.

For more difficult cases, it also makes use of the expertise of other disciplines such as angiology, internal medicine and vascular surgery, with the possibility to carry out specialised in-depth assessments and adjuvant therapies.
