Checking in and payments

Checking in for appointments and outpatient procedures

Bring the following documents to the Check-in Desk (Floor -1):

  • National Health Service card
  • a valid ID
  • results of relevant diagnostic tests previously performed

For National Health Service patients bring also:

  • a prescription from your NHS GP
  • NHS enrollment card (libretto sanitario) if you have a medical exemption

For insured patients:

If your insurer is affiliated with UCBM Hospital, bring the following documents to the Outpatient Insurance Office (Ground floor):

  • National Health Service card
  • a valid ID
  • prescription from your GP (on headed paper or an NHS referral form)

If your insurer is not affiliated with UCBM Hospital, bring the following documents to the Check-in Desk (Floor -1):

  • card or document certifying valid medical insurance coverage

Payment methods

Payment are made at the admission desks. Cash, debit and credit cards, and checks are accepted.

For insured patients: if your insurance provider is affiliated with UCBM Hospital you do not pay in advance for the medical services you receive  at UCBM Hospital unless their cost exceeds your coverage limits or refers to deductibles listed in your policy. In these cases, you will be contacted before the date of your appointment by the administrative staff with information about the payment due.
