Un Respiro per la Vita

Free lung cancer screening

With the campaign Un respiro per la vita, the University Campus Bio-Medico Hospital offers all smokers between the ages of 55 and 75, or those who have stopped smoking for less than ten years, the opportunity to check the health status of their own lungs by means of low-dose spiral Computed Tomography (TC) free of charge.

Smokers are in fact the people most exposed to the risk of lung cancer, in addition to those who present risk factors such as:

  • actual or potential exposure to carcinogenic substances affecting the lungs (asbestos, radiation, beryllium, hydrocarbons, etc.)
  • diagnosed pathology of Chronic Obstructive Pneumopathy (COPD)
