Functional Digestive Surgery Unit

The Functional Digestive Surgery Unit, a subdivision of the Colorectal Surgery Unit, handles inpatient, outpatient, day hospital and day surgery hospitalizations for patients with functional digestive diseases such as gastro-esophageal reflux disease, gallbladder stones and diverticular colon disease.

Activities of the Functional Digestive Surgery Unit:

  • Functional Digestive Surgery Clinic serving NHS patients, in collaboration with the Gastroenterology Unit, for the treatment of gallbladder stones, functional diseases of the gastro-esophageal junction and benign pathologies of the colon and rectum
  • Inpatient hospitalizations for NHS patients for the surgical treatment of functional digestive pathologies
  • Surgery with minimally invasive procedures using the most advanced technologies
  • Dressing Clinic providing postoperative care for NHS patients
