Dental II

Clinical activity

The Dental Clinic II of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital offers about 1,000 hours of outpatient activity per year, performing clinical work in a private institutional setting. The treatments performed concern all fields of odontostomatology: conservative dentistry, endodontics, periodontology, aesthetic dentistry, paediatric dentistry, orthodontics and gnathology, oral surgery and prosthetic rehabilitation, including implantology.

The dental clinic adopts the latest generation instrumentation, which in addition to improving the quality of the treatment, offers particular guarantees of patient safety. These include: digital radiology systems, use in the endodontic field of high-performance alloys, use of materials for prosthetic rehabilitations capable of offering high biocompatibility and high aesthetic performance (aesthetic inlays, porcelain veneers, metal-free prostheses).

Particular care is taken in the treatment of small patients, who are taught, in relation to age, notions of oral and food hygiene, in association with professional prevention procedures (groove and dimple sealing, topical application of fluorine, interceptive orthodontics, etc.).

The application of universally accepted hygiene and safety protocols protects the person treated from the risk of cross-infection between patient and patient (decontamination procedures of the environments, sterilisation of small and large instruments, including dental unit water line).
