The residential service of the Palliative Care Centre

“Insieme nella cura”

The residential facility of the Palliative Care Centre is an open environment which respects the needs of all.

Upon admission, the nursing staff will take care of welcoming guests, helping them to overcome any difficulties they may have in settling into their new living environment, in addition to describing the services on offer and how to make use of them.

Insieme nella cura” pays a great deal of attention to mealtimes and the quality of food. The patient is given the opportunity to choose the quality and quantity of the food he or she wishes to eat from the various options available in the kitchen.

The patient can have meals at the following times:

  • Breakfast: 8am to 9am
  • Lunch: 12 noon to 1pm
  • Dinner: 7pm to 8pm

Spiritual assistance

Catholic patients are offered spiritual assistance by a priest from the Opus Dei Prelature, who, in full respect of the patient's ideas, is available to assist them and administer the sacraments.

Holy Mass is celebrated in the Chapel on floor 2 at the following times:

  • Tuesday and Friday: 4pm
  • Sunday: 10.30am

However, guests are free to receive the comfort of their own spiritual advisor within the facility, by notifying the nursing coordinator, who can also contact Ministers of Worship, according to the patient's instructions.

Exit permits

Patients who are able, or who wish to spend a few hours outside the Centre, after consultation with their doctor, must request to do so by filling in the appropriate form, which must specify who the person is caring for them.
