Collecting for the Ukrainian people

Promoted by the Lazio Region, Red Cross and Civil Protection.

The Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation is participating in the collection of medicines and medical devices promoted by the Lazio Region, the International Red Cross and the Civil Protection Department to support the Ukrainian population affected by the war.

The staff of the University Hospital actively and promptly collaborated in the provision of the necessary material, as per the instructions received and on the basis of the care needs related to the humanitarian emergency situation.

More than 140,000 items were donated, including: personal protective equipment, medication, drug administration and material needed to induce anaesthesia, plus drugs for the emergency treatment of cardiac events, antipyretics, anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, cortisone, anticoagulants and other drugs for correcting haemodynamic imbalances.

In line with the willingness expressed by the Lazio Region's Councillor for Health and Socio-Health Integration Alessio D'Amato, which is to be able to receive Ukrainian patients in Lazio hospitals, the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation is also ready to provide medical assistance and beds, should the evolution of the international situation make it necessary.
