The thyroid check-up is useful for both women and men, especially if they have a family history of thyroid disease. It is also recommended for people with chronic fatigue, or for people that have experienced sudden hair loss or sudden weight gains or loss, associated with tachycardia or increased irritability.
Times and methods
The thyroid check-up takes place over two half-days. The first half-day is dedicated to examinations, blood tests and instrumental tests. On the second day, the medical staff will assess the results and deliver the reports.
It includes the following tests:
- Blood tests (TSH, FT4, anti-Thyroid peroxidase antibodies, serum Calcitonin)
- Thyroid ultrasound with needle biopsy (in case of clinical necessity)
- Integrated endocrinologic assessment
Available with a booking on fridays. Detailed medical reports and test results are delivered before leaving the facility.
