The liver check-up is aimed at those that want to know the state of health of their liver. It is aimed at those suffering from hepatic steatosis or people with already established characteristics associated with this condition: overweight-obesity, insulin resistance or diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, arterial hypertension. It is also recommended for those with a history of viral liver disease or current or past alcohol abuse. Key symptoms of liver dysfunction are fatigue, poor digestion and post-prandial heaviness.
Times and methods
The liver check-up takes place over two half-days. The first one is dedicated to blood sampling and ultrasound instrumental examinations. During the second one, the hepatological examination is carried out and the medical staff proceeds to the evaluation of the results and to the delivery of the reports. It includes the following tests:
- Blood tests (CBC, GOT, GPT, gamma gt, alkaline phosphatase, total and fractionated bilirubin, serum protein electrophoresis, blood glucose, blood insulin, total cholesterol, hdl cholesterol, triglycerides, hbsag, hcv, genetic polymorphisms)
- Upper abdomen ultrasound
- Hepatologic examination
Times and dates
The test can be performed with a booking on thursdays, starting at 08.00. Second admission after 30 days. Detailed medical reports and test results are delivered before leaving the facility.
