A kidney function check-up is recommended for all persons with a suspected or already established diagnosis of kidney failure who wish to carry out an initial assessment or to undergo the periodic examinations required for follow-up of the condition.
Timing and modalities
The kidney function check-up takes place in one morning and consists of the following exams:
- Blood tests (Microalbuminuria spot, Creatinine, Azotemia, Uricemia, Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Vitamin D, PTH, GOT or AST, GPT or ALT, GGT, Alkaline Phosphatase, Complete blood count, Total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol, Triglycerides, Blood glucose, PCR)
- Abdominal ultrasound (with specific study of kidney, bladder and prostate for men)
- Nephrological internist examination
- Nutritional counselling
Can be booked from Monday to Friday.
