Gynecologic check-up

The basic gynecologic check-up is recommended for all women, starting at the age of 18. It is indicated in the prevention of gynecologic sphere tumours as it involves instrumental examinations and specialist appointments for the examination of uterus, ovaries and breasts.

The full gynecologic check-up is recommended for all women, starting at the age of 40. Better if performed annually, it includes appointments and examinations useful in particular for the prevention of tumours in the uterus, vagina and breast. Also effective in preventing or combating hormonal dysfunctions, this prophylaxis program is also designed for the specific needs of menopausal women.

Times and methods

The basic gynecologic check-up takes place in one morning and in any case includes the following checks:

  • Transvaginal ultrasound
  • Smear test
  • Gynecologic examination


Furthermore, for women under the age of 40, the check-up also includes bilateral breast ultrasound, while those over the age of 40 can choose to undergo bilateral mammography or even bilateral breast ultrasound

Full check-up takes place in one morning and includes:

  • Blood tests (GOT or AST, GPT or ALT, BUN, Triglycerides, Total and fractional Bilirubin, Total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, blood glucose, serum Creatinine, CBC, Functional fibrinogen, Prothrombin time, Partial thromboplastin time or aPTT, Antithrombin III, Vitamin D, Chlorine, serum Sodium, serum Potassium, serum Calcium, fT3, fT4, TSH)
  • Urine analysis
  • Bilateral mammography
  • Transvaginal ultrasound
  • Smear test
  • Cardiac examination
  • Gynecologic examination
  • Electrocardiogram

Times and dates

Both check-ups can be carried out with a booking from monday to friday,from 08.00 onwards.
Detailed medical reports and test results are delivered before leaving the facility.
