METHOD OF PAYMENT

Payment of charges where so required by the SSN or of the chosen doctor's fee (if healthcare is being provided privately) can be made at one of the payment desks located within the Hospital in cash, by ATM or credit card (Visa and Maestro), or by cheque.

Patients covered by medical insurance affiliated to the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital are not required to pay for services at a payment desk. The Payment Administration Service will instead send the relevant documentation for any services delivered to the affiliated insurance fund. Patients should nevertheless inform their insurer of the time and date on which their specialist examination or diagnostic test is due to be carried out. This will enable their insurers to fax through the relevant documentation in advance, which the patient will then sign upon arrival at the hospital. Once they have received the signed documentation, the insurer will pay the University Hospital direct. (+39) 06.22541.1083).

Patients with medical insurance that is not affiliated to the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital will have to pay for any services provided privately at one of the payment desks, and then seek reimbursement from their own insurer.
